Cardiff and Glamorgan Memorial Park and Crematorium received this lovely feedback from the outgoing Rector of Barry:
Dear Mr Hodgson,
For the last eight years I have been Rector of Barry and have regularly officiated at funerals at Cardiff and Glamorgan Crematorium. Today I leave Barry for Port Talbot but must pay tribute to your staff for their service, support and friendship during the last eight years.
It has always been a joy, theyare always helpful and it has been a privilege to work with them and I will miss Michelle, Claire, Steve and John greatly. I want to particularly say how impressed I have been in the last four months. I have done a huge number of funerals in that time and have been immensely impressed by how your team have and continued to operate in this challenging times.
I have always felt safe, you always knew what to expect and the same high-level of professional service has remained. So simply thank you and your amazing team for making my task so easy to do.
I will miss my visits, but wish you and your team every blessing for the future.
Best wishes
Ben
Our Chief Executive Officer, Howard Hodgson, replied:
Dear Fr Ben,
Thank you Father for taking the trouble to write to me about Michelle and her team at CGM. It was indeed a selfless and most Christian thing to do.
I have copied them in on this reply so they can see your kind words of appreciation. They do indeed embody the mission statement of Memoria. However, it is always a very real reward for their professional integrity when someone of your standing bothers to sit down and write about them in this manner.
May I wish you God speed and happy pastures-a-new in Port Talbot.
With every good wish,
Howard.
